About

Trover Enterprises Limited is a family run business which strongly believes in
responsible ownership and is often seen giving practical assistance to animals
in need. We won an award from the Humane Society of Louisiana for the
Katrina Coat designed to protect the animals bereaved by the hurricane and
recently we ran a nationwide competition for “Ladies who rescue”.

Based on the beautiful island of Alderney set in the English Channel. This tiny
jewel (3 miles by 1.5 miles) is a pets’ paradise with unspoilt sandy beaches
and rolling heathland. It is here that Toni Cherrett and Jane Aireton design
and research new and innovative products.

Toni Cherrett, is a Patent and Trademark Administrator and the inventor of the
Trover ® dog coat system. After a lifetime spent surrounded by animals, in
particular dogs and horses, her interest lies in producing practical products
which allow the natural free movements of the dog.

The inspiration for the Trover® system for dog coats sprang from the
problems encountered with Jacob, her English Mastiff. Reduced to using
dustbin liners and sellotape® to keep everything in place during wet and
windy weather she despaired of finding a non-slip coat. Trixie Belle (Jane’s
Bedlington/Poodle) then arrived shivering and severely malnourished from
Pound Puppy Animal Rescue and the Eureka moment arrived : the Trover®
system was conceived. Jane’s creative ability and love of animals made her a
natural business partner for Toni (her husband’s cousin).

Jane is a nurse and has a particular interest in developing products to prevent
and assist recovery from physiological conditions.

Trover Enterprises Limited will continue to develop ‘what is needed’ and ‘what
works’ for their animal friends.
